Principal's Message

Welcome to the Jehue website!

Principal standing beside School MascotI am Armando Urteaga and it's an honor to be the proud principal.

Jehue is a student-centered PBIS school that prides itself on working closely with families to create an exceptional learning environment for our students.  It is my desire to keep the focus on increasing student achievement and doing whatever it takes to help ALL of our students be successful and enjoy school each day.  I believe that learning should be fun and that a quality middle school experience should pave the way for a success in high school and lead to a lifetime of quality learning.

Recent accomplishments in 2017-18:

  • AVID State Recognition
  • State PBIS Silver Medal
  • Highest District Grade Point Average (GPA)
  • Highest Attendance Rate- Secondary Schools
  • Lowest Suspension Rate - Secondary Schools
  • 1st Place STEM Bowl
  • Football and Volleyball Champions

This is my 7th year serving as Jehue's Principal. Before arriving at Jehue, I was an assistant principal for 10+ years at the middle and high school levels. Before becoming an administrator, I was a middle school teacher.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Los Angeles in 1995, and my Master's Degree in Educational Management from The University of LaVerne in 1998. I am married and we are proud parents of three boys.

Regularly checking on your child's progress is very important.  It will help you notice strengths and find areas that need to be strengthened. Talk to your child daily about what they have learned in the classroom.  If you have any concerns or questions about your child's classroom progress, please contact your child's teacher.

The school's phone number is (909) 421-7377. You can also find their email address on the staff directory website page and send them a message. Click here for JEHUE STAFF DIRECTORY

We encourage parents to get involved by joining our PTSA, volunteering at school activities, and taking an active role in your child's education. Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can be of any assistance. We are here to help you and your child be successful.
